Step 15: Closing
Closing is the last step before the house is yours. Closing accomplishes title transfer from seller to buyer and appropriate financial transactions i.e. transferring of monies and related accounting.
Closing will usually take place at a local title company. The closing will be conducted by an escrow agent who represents the title company. The escrow agent is an independent party in the closing transaction who works under the direct supervisor of both agents. The seller usually chooses the title company that will handle the closing.
